Chapter Philanthropy

Our chapter is very involved with not only our community but we plan various events throughout the semester to contribute to our philanthropies. Each fall, we put on an event, "Frats at bat", in which fraternity brothers make teams to compete against eachother in baseball, while all the proceeds go to the Sigma Kappa Foundation. We also participate in the Walk to end Alzheimer's. This usually takes place in Pittsburgh. Each sister individually raises money before the walk, and all the proceeds go to the Alzheimer's research. This year, our chapter raised over $7000, and out of the Sigma Kappa chapters participating, we took 2nd place in raising the most money. In the spring, we hold a UltraViolet Bingo event, in which we sell tickets for members of the community to play bingo. We provide snacks and prizes for the winners, and all of the proceeds to go the Sigma Kappa Foundation and the Alzheimer's Association for research.
